Sounds like something to do with the torque convertor, either that or the pump. But why it works for so long then quits again.
The transmission fluid isn't foaming is it??
I know they have a low band adjustment that needs to be readjusted after a rebuilt and after a certain number of miles, but that doesn't sound like the problem either.
