Deve, when I did my brakes on the 52panel I knew I'd most likely end up with disc on the front. I went ahead and put the 10lb residual in line about mid way the chassis rail. I will put the 2 lb on when I do the disc.

Whether its OK the way I did it I can only attest to how mine works as it is right now. On two occasions I've already had to "stand on the brakes". I mean I had to get on them. WHOA, the panel stood on its nose. I was not ready for that. I run a 7" booster with dual master cylinder. Did that help?...probably. Did the 10 lb residual valve help?...probably. One thing for sure the panel has darn good brakes on it.

....would the current set up hold up coming down Saluda Grade
(big steep grade near by in the mountains) while riding the brakes? I doubt it but not many will...even disc if you ride them enough.
For now I'm happy. If things continue to run good I may NOT put disc on it....its not a hot rod like my 37 but the 37 has disc.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
