I haven't picked up anything yet as I'm still considering my options. I've got the original I6 that's still in the truck but there isn't anything that's forcing me to stay with that.
I'm not married to the idea of a crate either but there is some comfort in knowing the cost versus getting halfway through a rebuild and finding that the price keeps climbing. I'm definitely looking to pick up some knowledge through this whole project but at the same time want to avoid getting in over my head.
