Hello all,I have been a big truck fan since a kid and this is my first. a lot of nice trucks here on this site.I have learned so much in the short time I have been on this forum.
My truck is a 1956 GMC LCF, I'm far from finished with it and this forum has given me many ideas.

The "low cab forward" truck is a nice looking vehicle. Say, is that light ABOVE the headlight original?? What was it for.

Welcome nad thanks for sharing the pic.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I'm NOT SURE,but I believe those lights were origionally used as fender-mount turn-signals from a later ('58,'59),G.M.C. 860. just a hunch, but that's what they appear to be. Please feel free to correct me,IF I'm wrong.HaHa!!

Thanks for the kind words,The lights above the headlights came with the truck and are stamped "GMC/Chev accessory Dec.1955 Ray Allen proto." under them. The only info I came up with was on Ray Allen a designer of accessories for the big 3 back in the 50's.
