So, I need to get it started to get it off the road (where the tow truck dropped it off) and into my back yard. The back of the ignition switch has several wires, so which ones do I jumper, etc. to get it running? Essentially "hot wiring" it to get it started? Any info would be appreciated!! Purple is starter. You can just string a wire from the bat. to the coil +. Then jump from the inside small wire on the starter to the cable post to engauge the starter. Don,t leave the wire on the coil very long or you will burn the points.

Got it home, put my '64 truck key in the door, wiggled it some and she opened right up. It also worked in the ignition. Also, you can start my '64 with a screw driver since the tumblers are so worn.
Give it a shot, may get lucky,

I prefer the conventional cabs...but you never know what the future holds?? I currently have 2 C60's...a 1964 dump truck and a 1966 with a diamond plate flatbed and hydraulic lift gate. The bed/lift gate will be sold whenever I get it off the cab/chassis and then I'll be using the parts on the '66 for my '64 and e-bay'in the rest  ... Thanks for the note!! | | |
