I've had the same problem finding a place for a clock and have had a little loose analog clock rolling around the floor for five years. I would imagine that the wood worker supplies would have those just for those woodwork project that your friend is doing. Can I assume that you just press fit the housing into the bore in the knob? Thanks for posting. Actually had time to look a few clocks up. This is a nice one and appears to be similar to the one your friend found for you. Yes, it is a friction fit, the clock housing has a rubber gasket that creates the fit. I drilled a 5/16" hole thru to the threaded insert, by doing this I can use a 1/4" dowel to push the clock out. Ivory Knob They have one with the threaded insert which has 3/8-24 thread same as the Chevy trucks.
