[email protected]I was at an auction of a golf course when the 4100 chevy dump came up for bids, I went there with no intention of buying it, a golfcart was on my mind.I was surrounded by Yuppie types When she came up for bid. I could not help myself, She seemed dejected because no one wanted her so I bought the truck now known as Rosy, as dubbed by my 9 year old daughter. The guy who hauled it to my house offered three times what was paid and for some odd reason I was not even tempted by the offer.
The auction was in 2009, and my first thoughts were to go the highly modified route. Now that my workshop is almost complete, 2011,and my 13 year old son is being stricken by the two poisons, purfume and gasoline, we have decided to try and bring her back as original as possible and I think it is a good choice on his part. I can see it now, my boy 16 years old at the driveinn movie in the back of a 54 chevy dump, with his date. I wonder what her parents will say when he picks her up, I wonder if my wife would let him take it?
On the other hand he figures he will be able to make a few bucks with it hauling mulch and stuff to the subburbs just a few miles down the road. I will post pics soon
