I'm finally going to get hoses made for my MII rack to Chevy Saginaw pump. Which port goes where? i.e. which is feed and which is the return on the rack? 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. Stroll through a yard and seek an MII or Capri with the same rack and look, or find a set of original hoses. The ends should be different sizes and will only go on one way. Last resort, hit the library and look for a Mustang repair manual. . . Sorry, just saw where you are hunting from! Did any of the european fords use the same rack or pump? If so, you can compare with them.
Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice) \'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run. My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, but ignorance means you don't know you can't do something.

When I did mine, I was able to purchase premade hoses from a rod shop - probably not an option for you in merry old England *g* | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | OK...had a look at my rack which is an original production unit. Looking down from top side ( input shaft on top ), and from front of vehicle, the supply line is the lower fitting on right side, and the return line is the upper fitting on right side. | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ...and if you get them backwards you will know it. I wasn't sure what would happen if I got it wrong,I guess Alvin and Todd found out for me....... I mean, even without asking any questions you have a 50-50 chance of getting it right the first time!! Oh well, that's the way it usually goes with me too.

Thankfully I've got enough slack in the hoses to rectify the problem. 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr.
