Guys, I tried the search function without success.
I'm finally going to get hoses made for my MII rack to Chevy Saginaw pump.
Which port goes where?
i.e. which is feed and which is the return on the rack?

I can't help except with a couple ideas...
Stroll through a yard and seek an MII or Capri with the same rack and look, or find a set of original hoses. The ends should be different sizes and will only go on one way.
Last resort, hit the library and look for a Mustang repair manual.
.
.
Sorry, just saw where you are hunting from! Did any of the european fords use the same rack or pump? If so, you can compare with them.

Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice)
\'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run.
My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787.

Hi Jock......I will have a look at mine this evening and post info. When I did mine, I was able to purchase premade hoses from a rod shop - probably not an option for you in merry old England *g*

OK...had a look at my rack which is an original production unit. Looking down from top side ( input shaft on top ), and from front of vehicle, the supply line is the lower fitting on right side, and the return line is the upper fitting on right side.

...and if you get them backwards you will know it. The steering wheel will go crazy...and break your wrist if you have your hand on it.
Thanks for looking for him Bruce. I was heading out to the shop to look at mine.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I think the F*rd Granada here used a similar unit, although I've already got a guy lined up to make my hoses,I just didn't want to mix things up!
I wasn't sure what would happen if I got it wrong,I guess Alvin and Todd found out for me....... drive
Thanks for looking Bruce(britcon)

Sounds like Murphy is alive and well in the U.K.!! I mean, even without asking any questions you have a 50-50 chance of getting it right the first time!! Oh well, that's the way it usually goes with me too.

You've got that right Waldo!

Thankfully I've got enough slack in the hoses to rectify the problem.
