Here is a link to the upcoming issue of Vintage Truck Magazine. My 55.2 NAPCO Suburban is on the cover and there is a story on the history of NAPCO 4x4's.
Vintage Truck Cover Story

I think it has some good info for those trying to restore an old Chevy 4x4.

Congrats, George! Pat did a nice job with the story and pictures!

We'll have to set you up in the Stovebolt Tent in Kansas City this year for autograph signing!

I will add my congratulations too. How were you and your truck discovered? I am curious to find out how they go about finding such a nice example of a rare truck.

Thanks for all comments guys, I appreciate it. As for where the truck was "discovered", I went to the truck show at Macungie, PA last year with the Stovebolt crew and the editor of the magazine came up to me and his friend, John Milliman, and started asking questions. I think he owed John a favor and decided to do an article.

It reminds of the time that Milliman talked the judges into giving my truck the Best of Show trophy at his local show. I don't know why John hooks me up, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Hey George, that is a mighty fine looking truck. I'm proud of you and don't even know you. You did good. I would love to convert mine to 4-wheel drive but that may come later. Nice truck!!

Thanks again for all the well-wishes guys. I'm glad I dragged the burb to Kansas City last year and got to meet a lot of you guys. I can finally put faces to names on the comments (Pete, Cletus, Joker, Scott and others). Thanks also to my local brothers and those I haven't met YET.

George
