I will take a minute and post to this forum. I purchased a project 1959 Apache 3600 after my Daughter showed interest in the older trucks once cleaned up a bit. We looked on the local craigslist and found ours for sale, were able to pick the truck up for $400.00 and we drove it home that day, has the 283 V8 and 4-speed trans. Stepside, real workable truck I think. So check out some pics on our photobucket site.
you can also see my newest addition "the '51 2 ton"

You got it right $400.00, I was shocked when I found it, and the guy hadn't sold it yet... The cheapest one I have seen since was listed for around $2500 and didn't run.

That's a great deal .The truck looks very good ,it's much better to start with a truck in good condition.

Good luck with you and your daughters new project

The Green truck is a '48 International kb1, been sitting since '73. we rescued it from behind an old barn.. it was burried up to the running boards in mud & blackberrys, the old gal told me I could have it if we removed from her property..
serious project there...
