For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! I'm happy to say that 3M RUBBING COMPOUND cleaned all the crud off without leaving any visible scratches. Keep in mind that these are my "work glasses" so proceed at your own risk if your glasses are your "good pair". | | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 85 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2010 Posts: 85 | lacquer thinner or goo gone!! no i'm not kidding.

It will crack and crumble before you go "What the....." | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | If you don't have "work" glasses to use, a little trick is to tightly cover the lens with clear wrap like Saran Wrap. It does distort a little, but is passable to use in a pinch.

Paint thinner solved the problem. If I was still painting these days I'd most likely wear a pair of goggles to prevent getting paint on my glasses in the first place.
