Hello,

This is my first post on any forum. I’m a new guy from the Finger Lakes area of New York, so go easy with me. I have a 1954, 1-ton, panel truck. It needs some help and I am very slowly working on it. I’m hoping to get some advice and some questions answered from some truck enthusiasts on here. I’m looking forward to reading your posts and joining some discussions.

Welcome Karl1ton! This is a great bunch of people with a ton of knowledge and experience. Ask your question and you'll get some quick answers. Most of us Upstaters are well versed in salt and rust. What Finger Lake you near? Have fun and good luck

Welcome Karl. It's always good to welcome another panel owner. Mine "needed some help" too, except I've been at it for three years already. How much help does your's need? What are your plans for it? Will it remain mostly original? Just browse around our site and ask whatever you need to know. Whatever you intend to do, it's very likely that someone here has done it already and can help you out. Good luck.

Hi Karl, welcome to the 'bolt.
As the guys have already mentioned, this place is great for advice and help.
You'll probably be aware there's a section for 'burbs and panels.
Pay a visit,they're not a bad bunch!
See you around.

Thanks. My panel has been garaged for 6 years, with very little time to improve. I have all new wiring and working on brakes now. It will be mostly original and used as my work truck.

Welcome to the bolt Karl. Lots of knowledge and great folks here. You are quite lucky that your panel needs only a "little" help. Most of us would say ours needed a LOT of help smile

Let us know how we can help.

Love the 54s and the 1 ton panels. Hope to find one myself OR create one myself! I know where a '49 is that has a lot of front end rot and I've got a '54 cab that needs corners! Just a cut and paste job away...

Just here for the free beer.
