Well the truck of my dreams is finally mine. I am the proud new owner of 54 Chevy 3100. Red Truck as she is named has 44,000 original miles and is complete all the way to the owners manual and tool kit. She is a 3 window truck, but has what appears to be the more deluxe cab. Including visors, stereo, cigar lighter and drivers arm rest. If your from Colorado and drink micro brews you may have seen her on the label of Palisade Breweries Red Truck Beer. A little brake work is in order and a 12 volt conversion is in the works. Otherwise she runs like a champ!

Alvin,

It looks like a 54/55 bedside - there is a little view of the inside bedside - the 54/55 embossed "arc" around the fender can be seen. Maybe someone with a 55 or later bed will comment?

Welcome to the forum, Matt. Your '54 looks good - the Brewery's loss is certainly your gain (and, a good story, to boot).

I believe the bed is the right year. It has a steel floor added to it years ago. But no signs of it ever being replaced.

Great truck Matt. What more could a guy ask for than an 1954 3100 beer truck? I like the bumper too. Those old custom bumpers add something special about the era and purpose of the trucks. With just a little TLC she will last you a lifetime. I have been driving my 54 3100 for 35 years and still have fun every time I drive it/daily. Happy your dream came true!
