For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 | Three years ago, I happened to spot this truck in an open barn while driving down the road. It caught my eye because it originally belonged to my family's Case implement dealership and was painted in JI Case colors (it had been sold when the business closed in 1978). I later made contact with the owner, and ended up driving it home six months later. It is a 1968 TE50 Tilt-Cab with a 327 V8 (later rebuilt into a 350), a four-speed New Process transmission, a two-speed rear axle, and a Mid Equipment roll-back bed. The truck was originally purchased for delivering tractors and equipment. It is esssentialy original and still runs well. In the photo, it is carrying two Case tractors (a 1945 VAC and a 1949 SC, both originally sold by our dealership). Photo John Henry Perrysburg, OH jlhenry@wcnet.org

It's going to get expensive if you are going to buy back everything that the dealership sold. I'm sure you will find plenty of help here on the bolt. Best dang place to be with an old truck!! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 | Yes, I do need to watch myself! So far I have two Big Bolts, five tractors, a mower and a plow. My wife is fine with it - she has a '53 3600 project truck, and has told me she is tracking what I spend and will match me dollar for dollar! I do have a photo from the 1940's of a family farm truck - apparently a 1940 Chevy COE - that that would be a sweet find . . . | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | Wow, a whole family of stovebolters and stovebolts. get the wife signed in too, would like to see her truck. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,987 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,987 | Welcome aboard!! It's always nice when the wife is on board with your hobby! Mine has a different hobby, but also said she would match me dollar for dollar! I think she's getting close, too! | | |
