More truck pictures in Photobucket!

From John :

Three years ago, I happened to spot this classic truck in an open barn while driving down the road. It caught my eye because it originally belonged to my family's Case implement dealership and was painted in JI Case colors. (The truck had been sold when the business closed in 1978.)

I later made contact with the owner, and ended up driving it home six months later.

This old truck is a 1968 TE50 Tilt-Cab with a 327 V8 (later rebuilt into a 350), a four-speed New Process transmission, a two-speed rear axle, and a Mid Equipment roll-back bed. The truck was originally purchased for delivering tractors and equipment.

The truck is essentially original and still runs well. In the photo, it is carrying two Case tractors (a 1945 VAC and a 1949 SC, both originally sold by our dealership).

So far, I have two Big Bolts, five tractors, a mower and a plow. My wife is fine with it. She has a 1953 3600 project truck, and has told me she is tracking what I spend and will match me dollar for dollar!

I have a photo from the 1940's of a family farm truck - apparently a 1940 Chevy COE - that would be a sweet find . . .

Well, this is quite an Interesting addition for the Gallery. ~ J Lucas, Curator
