| | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 33 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 33 | I have the original 235 motor in my 47 Chevy 2 ton truck, but someone had taken the plugs out somewhere down the line while it set (figure 15 years+ with no plugs) What should I expect, can the motor be salvaged, being the original I'd hate to lose it this late in it's life, but would I be better off just getting a full oil pressure 235 out of a later model truck, or would the original be most desireable, just looking for a direction to travel in.

For the price of just a gasket set you could probably upgrade to a newer 235 or even a 261.
