Anybody have any thoughts on the quality and worth of that sort of thing. It's in good shape but needs new glass for the top. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Its hard to tell without a pic as I do not know what a YA4341B looks like. What size is it. Unless you do a LOT of small stuff don't mess with a little one, unless it is a good price!.... just my opinion. I've had a skat-blast (TP Tool Co.) for several years now and use it VERY often. Also remember you need a good air compressor to go along with it. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 | | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | "Features a right hand door for smaller parts and a top opening lid for larger parts."

You said you had to replace the glass and I'm sure you know about using the plastic protectors..... but I just had to ask!!
Oh, the plastic protectors are much cheaper at Tractor Supply if they have your size.... if not, there is a place you can order it by the rolls and its lots cheaper!! Just trying to help. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 | I'm looking at spending $500 for it, it's used of course | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | tri5trucking: Unless your in a hurry to get one maybe you should consider looking at the TPTOOL company web site and seeing what the big ones go for today..... I bought my skat-blast back in 2001. Its 46 wide, 28 deep,28 high inside. Back then I paid 1100 for it which included the vacumn system with it. I checked on them a while back and they were actually the same price...or maybe on sale? It has a nice view window, double lights ect and I use about any blasting media I want to use. I saved my money for over a year to buy it and have not regretted it once. Hope this helps in your decision. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 | just could not resist. have a good laugh but my blast cabinet works for me, cost was low

I think i'm going to buy the cabinet. It's a package deal with a heavy duty matco rolling toolbox 57"x40"x21" and the bead cabinet with everything for $1000. I don't think I'm getting hurt. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 | that was Chubby he has to inspect everything, good luck on your purchase they sure are handy to clean things up. sounds like a fair price, | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,715 62401 | | 62401 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,715 | Dakota -- Who's laughing? That's actually pretty slick -- send the pictures and the write up and we'll make a tech tip out of it! Do the clearance lights come on when you turn the interior lights on? John
