hey guy's just wondering if any body has put power steering on a 1961 or similar gmc stock 4x4 ? mine is stock height (tall )and it's a bit tough to move 10.5x 31 tire's (they hardly fill the wheel wells). i haven't seen any kits ,i don't know if you can use any stock component's in the process or not .thank,s ahead of time if any body has any input ,price is a object as i am not able to work any more .

I wonder if it's the same as the 2wd truck? can you compare a pictures to the ones in my webshots albumC if they are, then you're in like Flint. I'd like to work with another member on the switch. Can you post a link tp a pictures of the frontend?

I think you need to use a box from a 67-87 4X4 truck, but installing it is the same technique as the 2wd trucks,

Nope, It's totally different than the stock 2wd model. Does not mean it can't be done I just don't know how.

I think you'll have to use a 4X4 box that's 90 degrees from the frame when centered. Then you'll have to make or modify a drag link to connect the newer box to the steering arm. Probably will require a REZ bracket too,
