This old truck driver that I bought my 54 Flatbed and 55 Flatbed from had been trying to get me to stop and look at some tires he said he had, So the other day I looked him up and did he have some goodies. He had 12 new never been mounted 8.25R20s,3 7.50x20 High Tracs(like a mud grip),7 8.25x20s mounted on wheels,10 wheels F--d and Chevy and one 7.50x20 hwy tread mounted on wheel. We go over to his house to get 4 of the tires and he says "So what else do you need?" I went to rattling off stuff like tire tools, lug wrenches. He starts behind this building and says over his shoulder I think I can help you. We get back there and there is a pile of generators 6v,12v, starters, boxes full of original lug wrenches, old timey jacks and tool boxes. He just starts toting all this stuff to my pickup and says aint ya gonna help load. Im standing there with my eyeballs bulged out still going over all this stuff, come to my senses and start helping him load. The old timer knows I have a passion for the old Iron, he just gives all of the accesories to me. I have to go back pretty soon to get tires and wheels. Needless to say when I went home, I felt like I had killed me a fat hog. Shelly big_eek

Well even blind hogs will find an acorn occassionally. Great score. With 18 new tires your going to need some trucks.

Do ya think you can get your truck running good enough and keep her going long enough to wear out all them tires. LOL Sound like a good score the old guy has taken a liking to ya and knows you will put the stuff to good use. thumbs_up

Keep the old fellow informed on your progress with the trucks. When I had my 38 (in the eightys) tagged I let a retired driver drive it some he was absolutely thrilled having driven one when he was starting out. wish I'd been smart enough to take pictures.

That's what it's all about!

And welcome to the 'Bolt! While you're out there trying to wear out those tires, stop long enough to take a few pictures of your haul and of your trucks -- Certainly a Gallery entry or two, as well as a story for our Features!

Sorry It took me so long to reply, my Mom fell and broke both bones in her ankle, so we have been busy for the last few. I tried to send some pics of my trucks but I had an error when it went???? I will try to just send in one pic and see what happens. Thanks Shelly
