Hi All
Have any of you tried the Dupli Color paint that is sold at the parts store. It's susposed to be great for the garage guy.I've seen it shown on Speed vision and it looks ok. But is it?

Never tried it, but I have used some of their other products with ery good results. I have heard good things about it on another site I frequent. The only real drawback I see to it is the limited color availability, and it seems that some places don't carry certain colors, or at least in my area they don't. I think alot of it really comes down to the surface prep as far as results go, regardless of what you use.

I'm a dupli-color fan. It is a bit pricer than some of the stuff but I do like it.

I use their self-etch primer... it's good and it's convenient in the rattle can. I also like the fan pattern spray. Good stuff.

How about the sprayable stuff? I understand it can be clear coated also, or left alone.

Same here on the fan pattern. Used their Anodized silver on the headlight bulb retainer (the inner piece) and came out great!

I have used the dupli color " purple " for my customers rims on her bus. The stuff was very consistant, easy fan spray pattern. I also tweaked it out between coats with " glitter " by dupli color and the results were amazing. Great stuff. can,t say enough about it. I will be doing my rims with it for sure.

I used it on my Dash with Great results, and I also used there clear coat over the base paint, came out pretty nice.
I also used there engine & high temp paints on my motor parts.

I used it on front and rear bumpers and just refinished my wheels. Used clear coat over the top on the bumpers, all came out great.

They also have a high temp engine paint, which I use as I replace parts, gaskets, etc.

Have had great results with all. I would recommend.

I have used Dupli-Color to paint a car. I painted my Champ silver with Dupli-Color and when I sold it it still looked great. I had it for a little over two years after I painted and it still looked good. I would use it again.

I am painting my 67 with the hugger orange and the gray. The paint goes on nice and shines up good after you spray it with the clear. I plan on putting 4 coats of clear on it when I spray th outside and then I will color sand and buff for a better shine. It is also very easy to fix if you have a problem, like a bug in the paint.

when you put on glitter do you just add it to the paint and spray it out iv always wanted to try it
