Some people are like Slinkies, Their not really good for nothing... But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

thanks for the welcome i guess i had tell yall a little about myself im another texan ive been working on one thing or another my entire life as gator says thanks dad i started with lawn equipment and have worked my way up to our current project most of what i know comes from just doing it have a bad habit of taking things apart then going o wait how do i get it back to gether again then i generally trial and error it tell it works this tends to leave me with extra parts that come in handy later for something else but this time i got my buddy gator working on it with me so hopefully no extra parts when we're done anyhow i guess thats enough for now here are the pics of the truck

Welcome Lightning!!

I was wondering what the long range plan is for the truck. Will it be restored back to a fire truck, or something else? The best thing about the big ones, is once you remove the bed, you have a blank slate, and your options are just about unlimited.

John

John,
As unique as this truck is, we intend on putting back as close to original as possible. Hopefully we will not ever have to even consider removing the bed as it is welded to the frame! If we happen to acquire another one that is maybe not so unique, then I will likely have plans of modernizing the driveline, and some other necessary parts, for actual use as a truck!
Laterz,
Gator
