I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to install my windshield into my 53 chevy 5 window pickup. I installed the corner glass and the rear glass, which wasn't so bad once I figured out that soap makes the work a lot easier! Any tips would be greatly apprectiated!

Is that necessary or does the rubber gasket do the job well enough?

It cost me $80 to learn that all I needed to do (myself) was to squirt some clear silicone caulk under the rubber!
DUH!

The instructions posted on intalling the glass says to take it to a glass shop for sealing and I figured it would be something easy that I could do myself!
Did you use any particular kind of clear silicone or just whatever type you find at the hardware store that is clear, like clear silicone bathtub caulk?

I won't be needing glass for a few months but it's always good to have options.
