Reason for lurking around here is that I just purchased a 69 C30 dually with original 74000 miles. Dont really know why but have always like this style and I have not seen very many duallys. I guess my question is, are these very rare? Mine has a 157 wheelbase, color white, trim green, 350, DR wheels, tinted glass, power steering and brakes. It does need some TLC but is fairly solid. I do believe the miles are correct. Also it does not have a box, I plan on a flatbed but have lots to do before that. It spent most of its life with a camper on it. This is a project for me and my 10 year old son. Thanks I am enjoying reading all the posts on here. Seems to be a friendly bunch here. Funny story, when I got this pickup last week I spent about a hour adjusting the shift linkage. Then about another hour a couple of days later. Guess what? I got out the owners manual and this truck came from the factory without park. Never knew that existed. I have lots of friends in Iowa, as I work in Council Bluffs. Glad to have you on board.
I also have never heard of a truck (especially one that new) that had an automatic transmission without park. A long time ago, I owned a '68, a '69, and a '72 they all had automatics.

Something to put on your to do list - Check the lift the on the cam lobes. Late 60s, early 70s V8s are known for the cam lobes not wearing well.
