I'm sorry that I didn't report it but basically it had a 192.168.1.x IP address in it.
I'll see if I can find it again.

It looks like it is fixed now.

If you're in the forums and then click the "news" link, the browser says that it's trying to link to http://192.168.2.101. Of course, it times out. If I want to get to the news page, I have to click the home link then the news link. Zeke | | | | | Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 1,182 Red dot, center of chest ... | | Red dot, center of chest ... For example, the site wasn't here this morning at 8am MDT.
Are you guys squashing big bugs or something or are you guys falling out of the DNS servers?
Inquiring minds want to know :-)

Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 1,182 | I updated some stuff on the mail server, but I haven't touched the web server. (I'm going to have to take it down soon to recompile the kernel though.) You may be seeing "internet glitches" - routing problems between you and the server. When you get one of those, Ezekiel, run a traceroute and save it for me. Then send it to me as an attachment. On Windows: tracert www.stovebolt.com > C:\tracert.txt On Mac or Unix: traceroute www.stovebolt.com > ~/traceroute.txt Then email me the text file at geek@stovebolt.com | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 144 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 144 | | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 190 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 190 | I am on cable and it does seem a little faster to respond to me, especially when I am seaching. It might be a short term thing that occurs at 8-ish in the morning MDT.

Thanks, Jeff | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 355 Member | | Member Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 355 | I've noticed that it sometime takes several minute to load the page. It was doing this bad right before you changed the server, like the week of the KC show. There were several day when i couldnt get it to come up at all. Since you changed, its slow hit and miss, but i havent had any days when it wouldnt come up. I use a DSL in my system. | | |
