They will not take my stock hub cap but they are brand new, welded rims with a safety bead. My question is about the 6" rim width and how, if any ill effect, it would have on my stock spindles and rear axle? The tires would be 215-85R16.

Until I actually get to try one I won't know if they do have the right offset or backspacing. I guess I could measure the backspacing on one of my stock wheels and see if it is the same on the aftermarket one. I just thought I would order a set with standard offset. I believe Stockton Wheel could weld later model rims on your existing wheels and solve your problem. That is what I did on my truck in order to have disc brakes and keep my stock wheels and hubcaps, because I ran into the offset issue with my stock rims and not enough clearance for the caliper.
I know mine are 15"s not 16", but I would think they would have a 16" rim that would work with your existing wheel. They are on my list of 'potentials'. What I am wondering now is about offset and back spacing. I think if the wheels are widened on the inside the tires may rub the tie rod ends. I can get the wheels I want but they have to be ordered and if they don't work I am stuck with them. The price up here would work out to about $500 for the wheels including taxes. That is okay if they fit but out of my budget if they don't.
