If I owned the heads I wouldn't sell them for
1 $ either. the shipping had to be$40.
If it is too good to be true it probably is.

IMHO if the guy accepted payment, he in fact sealed the deal, and should forward to heads to you ASAP! (With an apology!)

Wasn't it only a buck and a half? Not enough for a short draft. I guess he was the dumb one if he took the money.

Well thats one of those deals where if you paid via PayPal you'll be able to either get your $$ or your item.

eBay dosen't seem to do jack squat about sellers who don't sell.. but this cat took your cash, he outta either give you your money back or ship your stuff.

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

PayPal doesn't care either, I speak from experience. PayPal is owned by eBay. If the seller listed the item with no reserve and a $1 starting bid they are obligated to sell it for that if $1 is all that is bid. eBay is supposed to have programs to help people that have been scammed but any time I've tried to get them to assist me they always pull a technicality out of their hat that gets them out of it. I stopped using PayPal because they're crooks & would stop using eBay if there was a better source for original 38 parts. IF you paid using PayPal using a credit card you can do a charge back. Be aware that PayPal will freeze your account if you do that so pull any money you have BEFORE you file with your credit card company. Good luck.

Immediately file an 'item not received' complaint with ebay. And, Paypal if you used them. If not, use them next time!

Corporate conglomberates could care less about the little guy. I opened a store on Ebay a long time ago and tried to close it 6 months later. It took me 2 more months to finally close the store because they had some "clause" that said you can't close a store without waiting 90 days!! In the meanwhile they charge you up the butt. I must have wrote 7 emails a day, made 2 calls a day to them and wrote 2 letters a week for 2 months to finally get it closed without being charged.
But if you notice, it is only 2 clicks away to "open" a store!

i have only gotten burned on ebay for a few minor items out of all the stuff I've bought and sold. Mostly it was buyers dragging their feet on the payment...The guy probably was new to ebay and then realized he sold a set of heads for a buck and that the shipping was 90 dollars or so (heads ARE heavy)... I would definately file a complaint with ebay and anyone else who will pretend to listen. Good luck!

hey bill... i had a similar problem about a year ago with a purchase... i had paid by paypal using a visa card so i contacted the credit card company and filed a claim since there had been no shipment after 30 days... the visa card reimbursed me then they billed paypal who in turn went after the crooked seller for their reimbursement... the visa folks informed me to ALWAYS pay by credit card so i could use that process if a problem developed... in other words i pay visa; visa pays paypal; paypal pays the seller; the reverse takes place when there is a problem...

Definately contact e-bay and paypal. Also, leave negative feedback.

If you ask e-bay they'll give you the seller's real name and address.

Paypal can help you track down where the money went from his account, if you paid with paypal.

Print out all the pages in the auction, all the e-mails and pages for paypal.

You can file suit in the local small claims court and then pay the sherrif where the guy lives $25 bucks to serve the lawsuit on him.

You can sue for what it will cost you to get comprarable heads plus court costs. Then you can seize his bank accounts or garnish his wages based on the information Ebay/paypal and his credit report give you (you can pull his credit report once you have a judgment against him, since you are then a creditor).

You said those were 'vortex bowtie' heads, right?

It might not be worth the hassle to deal with paypal and ebay to get your money back, and complain, and [censored]. It might, however, be more satisfactory to pay someone close to the seller to pay him a visit to square things up.

Definately complain with E-bay, get your refund and get the negative feedback removed. (and post his phone number)

Billschevy,
I just sent an email to your guy asking if he had any 350 chevy heads for sale and how much he wanted for them. If he replies I will let you know, then I will ask him if he actually delivers as promised.
