And so the adventure ends...

Every Stovebolt Topper has been mailed.

Almost 50 bolters participated! All the way to Europe!
It was a LOT of work. But well worth every minute...
Some 'bolters ALREADY have them bolted on! What a rush...

After talking to Peggy and John on the phone, before starting on this task I thought: ' What genuinely open hearted, warm folks'...
Imagine that: more than 10 years on the web? 10 000+ members??? They've been there for this community all along, even through the 'Lounge Years' smile

When John was telling me about his youth around a marina on beautiful Lake Memphremagog, it hit me... and so I made this for Peggy and John's home:

It's a 'one off'. Numbered #000, signed... Cast in solid brass. With cast brass plate. On a varnished, Mahogany stained board.
Like that antique boat I imagine towing behind my '53 one day...

Thanks to Peggy and John for 10 years of Stovebolt Pages...

Till next time,
whizzerick

Whizz, Well done, a great idea. The Millimans deserve a special thanks from all the Stovebolters. I look forward to getting mine installed.

That looks out standing! Sure you don't want to do some more in brass? Great tribute, I'm sure it's going to look great on their wall.

Can't wait to get mine. My mouth is watering. Now all I'll have to do is get "Frank" back on the road so I can show it off!

Thanks again.

Rick -- Wow. All I can say is that. That is special and Peggy and I are truly humbled.

You all are great and have made this place what it is. We're glad to be a part.

This is something! I wish I had more to say but I am at a loss here. Wow. Looks like the transom of a certain 25' Chris-Craft I once knew.

Tres bien, bon homme!
Merci!

Rick!

A wonderful tribute to John and Peggy and a testament to your talent.

I got a pair of 'toppers' in the mail the other day and can't wait to get my truck out of storage to put them on.

Thanks for your efforts.

Judging from the locations of people who have gotten theirs already... it seems the toppers are moving their way south.

The wave of toppers hit South Florida around noon. I was a bit apprehensive as the post office has lost stuff of mine in the past. Even though they are only across the alley from our building, things have gotten lost in that last thirty feet on more than one ocasion.

It looks great, Richard. Many thanx!
