From Robert:

This is my '49 5-window Deluxe cab that I bought a month after my son was born. The body is in very good condition but the old, tired 216 was smoking badly. I put a 1965 Chevy 12-bolt rear with a 3:73 gear under her and have a Camero T5 - 5 speed trans waiting to go in behind a '58 - 235 with M4F cam, Fenton headers and dual intake setup.

She's also got a new disc brake kit up front with a new dual master cylinder. I lowered her a little by removing a few springs all around. New wiring harness and 12-volt conversion are in the works as well. Getting new shoulder harness seat belts too.

Can't wait to drive her. She's gonna be my daily. Maybe - 16 years from now my son MIGHT inherit her. He better be good.

I couldn't have done this without the help of all the good folks on this wonderful website. Thanks everyone!

More pictures are available on my web site.

Bob
