I've been looking for some fender covers that fit the big truck fenders. Dont seem to find any big enough. Any one else having this trouble.

Thick bath towels.

I tried to use a terry cloth table cover, but it slides around on the freshly painted clear coat. Man it dont take nothing to leave a mark on the painted surface. Hope they can buff a couple of one we have now. I think i need some about 40" sq. All the ones i've seen are 22 x 34 or so. Like it to have some kind of a foam or rubber backing on it so it dont slide around. Even saw magnets on one type, but i aint sure i want that. Looked at custom made one, but they want $230 for the art charge , plus the covers. Little on the pricy side.

be careful with those magnetic fender covers.. they attract metal shavings!!!!

I put a set on my Olds a while back... YIKES, scratched the crap out of my new paint job..

Wal-Mart sells a soft felt and you can get it in any length and it is about 40 inches wide. Also, any color to match your paint.

I think we need a specially designed STOVEBOLT.COM fender cover.

I agree with Builder, the one on the market now really bite. If you only had some little baby fender, then they'd work out fine. Even the smallest bolts fender is several times the size of an averge car or truck. There must be some place out there that make good ones, with a name on them. This may be another thing i'll have to make myself. To bad there arent more places that support the needs of this hobby, last time i checked my money was still green and good.

I myself never use fender covers, not even at work. It's too easy to leave a tool on or get something under it and when you let your guard down the fender gets damaged. Without fender covers I'm always careful, no matter what service I'm doing. Just make sure your not wearing a belt buckle that can cause damage or, if you're like me, you can hide it under your gut,

She brought me down Several of the Boys old Baby blakets .....ya might look silly when your Buds show up an ya got teddy bears and horsies on your truck fender , but they work ! ..

Yes, the hiding on things under my gut, seems to be a problem. I lost a 3/4 wrench and two quarts of beer just last week...lol

I loose more beer in my gut than wrenches lately.

I use that non-slip rubber material that is made for shelves, etc. I first found it great for in the motorhome to keep things from sliding around and later discovered it is fantastic for fender covers as you can buy it by the roll and cut any size you want. It is protective and non-slip at the same time.
