My big problem is that it's outside (had to pour a new concrete slab) and will be shoping for one of those RV covers. With the four post/ramp style you can move it around pretty easily inside and out. I've seen pics of cars seriously damaged after a cheap lift failed. There are a number of quality lifts available. Most 7-10K lb. lifts will set you back over $2K. Personally I'm partial to Bend-Pak.

They were pretty nice lifts. We did quite a few at a Rolls Royce Dealer shop and use to replace the old lifts at Western Autos not to mention quite a small shops and home shops. They are fairly easy to install or you can have them installed. with the isometric vertical rails you can put up a vehicle and open the doors on most fully .

The 4-post is lighter built but is heavy enough for a 1/2 ton truck and still be safe. You can move it around which is a big plus for a guy with the average size garage. I leave it outside all summer. If I had plenty of room I'd prefer the 2-post because of more accessability to the vehicle. All that said I like it and the price is right. | | |
