don't really have an answer for you, but perhaps an alternative.
Alot of the street rod guys I know have two of the smaller fans mounted in a diagonal fashion in front of the radiator.

I have a 350 in my 1 1/2 ton that pushes a plow while hauling 4 tons of traction with an original 48 radiator and the 350's original fan clutch. It never runs hot. There must be a flow problem somewhere, feel the radiator from top to bottom after it's gotten warm, looking for cool spots.

It is 16 in. & pulls about 2700 cfm. It,s a little pricey, about $210. It comes with mounting brackets (no hanging on radiator core) & adjustable therm. I used one on a 56 & worked well. I just got another to put on my 70.
