Good idea Don!

Convoy of three trucks, Grigg, Alec with passenger Tim, and myself. Really enjoyed the absolute beauty of the ride home through springtime Maryland and Virginia.

I had a great ride home! Camper and truck cruised on with ease and we got home in the early afternoon.. It was a terrific weekend!! I gave the truck a bath and took my wife out to dinner in that old machine !

We made it home mid afternoon without any troubles. A stiff head wind at times though.

What a great weekend!

Me and John drove behind each other, not sure the distance but around 700 miles. I got home at 10:20 pm. No issues.

My son Logan and I visited friends and family in the D.C. area on Sunday. Left DC at 6.45 home by 11pm....The steering box adjustment Sweet did in the GMC.... ELIMINATED!! the bump steer issues I had been having and tightened any wheel play...the new speedometer cable that Jay(Magic Man) Lugnutz helped me install kept my speedometer needle solid as Gibralter.....no more jumping around like a flea in a frying pan......

What Cosmo and Grigg said. Truck ran better than ever, As Cosmo said the country side was in full spring mode, redbuds out and green everywhere.

Parked the truck and debriefed Linda over a glass of wine to tell her about the great weekend!

Philadelphia crew made it back. No issues.

Horrible traffic through Wilmington Delaware and 95 through Philadelphia is like a wagon road after the winter. I am glad to hear the long long distance guys are back or making progress.

Doughboy made it home with no issues. The breadbox caught some high winds crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, but we managed to stay out of the Potomac River!

The Canadian contingent from the homecoming made it home after a 12 hour leisurely meander north with a safe uneventful trip.

The event was certainly worth attending as I got to meet a bunch of great people and even learnt some stuff. The most interesting eye opener was that even metal can loose its temper!!!!

Probably the shortest trips of all that have posted so far but we made it home without issues and one of the better trips around the nightmare Capitol beltway. It was a tad bit windy as mentioned. At one point the lie-o-meter on my truck said I was getting 10 mpg headed directly into the wind with the COE on the trailer.
Got home, dumped the motor home, unloaded the '46 and went to the little car show around the corner. Cold and windy afternoon but won a fifth of tequila and a neon Miller High Life sign!
Glad everyone made it home without issue.

Just made it in the door- - - - -735 miles, more or less, with an overnight stop in Dandridge TN just outside of Knoxville. Truck, trailer, and cargo all in good shape! Another fun homecoming!

My 60 mile sprint was uneventful.

Now I have one dirty truck to clean!

Yes, that pine pollen is a real challenge. Plus the rain on the way up had some dirt in it as well.

But fun to clean, that's for sure.

My 1963 made it to my first Homecoming and home again without any issues. The timing adjustment didn't help MPG, but was worth a try. It now backfires through the exhaust if I decelerate quickly by quickly taking my foot off the gas. I think I'll back the timing down to 10 degrees.

I had such a wonderful time.

Left Lexington Va. this morning at 6:30 am, central time.
Arrived home at 8:15 tonight, central time. Very few short stops for fuel and food.
There were a few exciting times though. I hate driving thru WV!
Bedtime now and I may give a trip report tomorrow, if anyone is interested.

I made it home at about 3. I stopped at a flea market near Gloucester, VA and almost bought a WWII Luger. Too much money and not numbers matching and dirty. Oh well, the search continues.

I made it home safe and sound a little after 4:00 pm Monday. It was a beautiful ride home via Highway 33 in VA and W VA. I over nighted in Chillicothe, OH and then primarily rode the interstate highways the rest of the way home. My door-to-door mileage was 2,164.4 and the Beemer ran like a clock. The last 40 miles west on I80 were in 30 mph north winds with gusts over 40 mph, talk about excitement! It sure felt good to sleep in my own bed!!

I left Sunday morning and got back to South Dakota unscathed Monday night. My computer was being worked on, and I celebrated my Birthday yesterday, so I wasn't really computing much this week. I sure had a good time. It was really good to see some of the Bolters from years ago and meet all of you.
2Tonmaking the chips and stuff, HotRodLincoln educating us with the right answers, LugNutz magic show and transmission rebuild, the trucks, John running around to make sure everything kept moving, parts runs, the trucks, the dog rolling around in the mud puddle, the trucks, the bon fire, and the kangaroo court was all a good time. I loved every minute of it. And the trucks.
I hope I can make it again sometime.

And Peg.....We love you babe.

Do you realize this month makes it 6 years since we had lunch at the hospital?! Dang, how times slips by.
