Most GM factory crate engines have roller cams, the engines with flat tappet cams have the "mystery goo" added as an assembly lube. (that is what GM EOS is.)and the oil doesn't cost $15 a quart, it is more in the realm of $5 a quart. If all it take is reading a single article that's time has past (they have changed the API specs since that article was written) to become a full on expert on a subject. I suppose all the colleges would be really worried THAT little secret doesn't get out.
