"Splash lube?" The cam is supplied with oil through passages in the block. While we are on the topic of "splash engines", are the early 235 and 216's splash engines? I live in the South and realize the importance of learning the local slang in order to survive. The rod journals are lubed via dippers in troughs at low idle, and via pressurized nozzles aimed at the dippers at higher rpm's. Is there another example of a "splash engine" that someone can tell us about? Or should I just shut up?
