Would you keep any of the not stock stuff or try to get the original stuff to work.
That would be entirely up to you. Are you a stickler for originality, or do you just want some functional gauges, etc. that work?
There are no wrong answers here. It's your truck, and you can take it to whatever level you're happy with. (Or whatever level your checkbook is happy with!)
