....looking for general thoughts as to why my '47 1/2 ton rides like a lumber wagon. I thought the rough ride was due to straight axle / leaf springs but then realized that modern Jeeps (CJ, YJ etc) all use the same style front suspension. And most modern 1 tons use straight axles and they all seem to ride smoothly. So any thoughts as to how to soften up my stock suspension would be welcome.
