Here are a few pictures of the riveting hammer I have, an Ingersoll Rand size 6A which has a 6" stroke and a piston 1-1/16" diameter and 2-1/2" long. The literature says it's good for hot rivets up to 7/8" diameter.

One picture in there shows a model one size smaller being used on a "automobile frame" looks like a car form the 30's or late 20's by my guess.
