The above post should read "...Mark the center with a center punch and drill..."
Never used a center punch for this. Just ground and used a sharp drill bit with a little muscle behind it (not saying you can't). I go all the way through until the head pops. Sometimes I get a little champer on the part but really, it's hidden under the bolt head and that samll amount won't weaken anything.
