I do what JohnTsmith does. I leave just 1/32 thickness of head so I can find the center, then drill about 1/4 deep and smack it with a drift or punch. I would never bother to re-rivet a frame. I would never be sure they were all tight. There are a bunch of aftermarket accessories of all kinds, most are bolted on, none are riveted. You better be sure the piece is located properly or you will be de-riveting and re-riveting. Proper riveting requires both pieces to be line drilled (drilled at the same time) You may not have that!!! Unless you are the "line up" king of the world.
