They were indeed John, they introduced discs (rotors for the US)in there racing cars and wiped the floor with everybody, the other teams complained they were cheating the judges then discovered all the Jags had disc brakes and thats why they out performed the other cars. it was not long after that they apperaed in production cars late 50's early 60's
