Thanks Drew its not so bad with the single over head cam the original V12 design for racing had twin cam heads! now there's a lot of cogs and chains to deal with, some people are converting the V12 to twin cam using the XK 6 cylinder heads with some success. In its current state single cam max tuned horse power is around 700hp with a twin cam the engine can breath more and 1200hp is achievable or so I have heard of course super charging, turbo charging and nitrous changes all of that.
