I have been very satisfied with the 250 inline six, and the 283 V-8. My first two 1966 trucks had 250's them. They were very dependable, and easy to maintain.

I currently drive a '66 with a 283 V-8. After putting on 65,000 miles, it has not needed any major repairs.
