Guys am I more concerned about the wire going directly from alternator to ammeter as causing a fire if not in good shape or are pretty much any of the wires taillights, headlights, horn, etc.. also a concern on these trucks that have all current going through the ammeter? The voltage regulator appears to show its age rusty, but I dont see any wires showing cuts or scrapes. If the main worry of fires is the wire going from alternator to ammeter can i just run a heavier gauge wire and replace?
