Or can I install the 100 amp alternator, I dont have much need for amps at this point i.e. power windos, seats, radio, ac, etc.. can I just install it then have a shunt installed? or what would be the best thing to do to save guard from fire keeping my ammeter in place aside from a shunt? Squeeze am I frustrating you hahaha, dude thank you soo much for the answers thus far I have spent last 2 hours just researching stuff and im not trying to buy a whole new harness $400. I did see an engine harness $60 which I assume consists of the ignition and alternator to ammeter wire, but the OEM engine harness I assume will not fix the increased amp issue so i am back t a shunt. So bottom line is it there anythin else that I can instal to ammeter to help with safety of current though ammeter?
