Little more now that it sounds like a real shunt. It should be made of brass and that should be pretty solid ie 3/4 x 3/4 or so. On it somewhere should be some resistance value like 0.04198
and XX amps and 50 mV. If it has numbers like this send them here and we can go from there. If it has manufacturer same send that also.
