Sounds like you are getting there Frank. I woke a old 216 up after a 35 year nap that was stuck took several weeks and a lot of coleoil. If your rings are stuck you might try running some solvent in the cylinders that breaks up carbon. Most of the time the rings are stuck in old carbon thats sharing the ring groove. I did this on the afore said 216 and cured almost all the smoke and brought the compression up some also. If you do this you will need to change the oil because most of the solvent will end up in the oil pan also make sure all of the solvent is out of the cylinders before trying to restart the motor.
