Thanks Jim, Truckernix and Terry for the responses. So far I have done very little diagnostic work since I got it running. Compression check makes sense. I will do that soon. Jim, do you still have those aftermarket duals on your 53? The bed of my 50 3/4-ton was so rusted and rotten that I considered taking it off and building a flatbed. If had done that I was also going to put on duals. But I repaired my bed instead.
