NM51 - thanks. I have pulled the cover off after dropping the pan (which can create more leakage problems) and have removed the bolts from the front cap. Always thought the holes in that cap would be threaded but now realize that the threaded part is that reinforced section of the timing gear cover at the bottom. Thanks.
