Bill, Thats why I added the extra width behind the rear fenders, so my duals wouldn't be hanging off the trailer. It worked out real well. A lot of folks have asked about my set up and liked the idea.
If the trailer you are talking about has a 14,600 max, thats the weight of the trailer plus what you are hauling. So lets say the the trailer weights 4000lbs, you are still under ther trailers max at 13,600 with your 9600lb truck. I' pretty sure this is correct but maybe someone else will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.
